The projects

The SRF finances a portfolio of humanitarian projects across four Sahel countries: Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Niger. Through a windows-based model, the Fund channels resources to national and international NGOs working side by side to deliver life-saving assistance and build lasting resilience.

Burkina Faso hosts the largest SRF portfolio, with nine projects and a total budget of £11,899,231, targeting 587,961 direct beneficiaries across the Centre-Nord, Sahel, Liptako, Soum, Bankui and Goulmou regions. Lead partners include ATAD, A2N, CRBF, IRC ( first project terminated - second one ongoing), NRC, CRS ( closed project), Mercy Corps (closed project), OCADES and ACF.

CHAD COUNTRY OVERVIEW

The SRF supports eight projects in Chad with a total budget of £21,607,393, reaching 671,684 direct beneficiaries across the eastern provinces and the Lake Chad Basin. Interventions cover WASH, nutrition, protection, food security, and health, implemented by a mix of international and national NGO consortia.

The SRF supports four projects in Mali with a total budget of £9,033,781, reaching 455,744 direct beneficiaries in the Mopti, Ménaka and Gao regions. Partners include Mercy Corps, ACF, IRC and CRS, operating across sectors including food security, nutrition, protection, WASH and health.

The SRF finances five projects in Niger with a total budget of £13,317,868, reaching 377,648 direct beneficiaries across the Diffa region and the Liptako-Gourma border zone. Lead partners include IRC, CRS, ACF, NRC and Mercy Corps, intervening in WASH, nutrition, protection, food security, and health.
